ALL TOURNAMENTS ARE TO BE PLAYED ACCORDING TO USGA RULES,
                                                             WITH THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL RULES:

All perimeter fences are Out-of-Bounds.  There is no relief from  any out-of-bounds fence, so if your ball come to rest against the fence, you may play it or you may call it unplayable.
The bank along the left side of the 10th hole is Out-of-Bounds.  If in doubt, declare you are hitting a provisional, and hit a provisional ball.

Tee shots hitting any of the screens on #5, #12, #15, or #16, or hitting the power lines across #18 must be replayed.  There is no penalty

It is your responsibility to know your tee time for each tournament!  You are considered disqualified in the event that any one player in your assigned group hits his 2nd shot on the first hole before you have teed off.  In the Two-Man competitions, your partner may join you at any point in the round, as long as you made your tee time.  If your partner joins you in mid-hole, he must wait until the next tee to begin play.
Tee times postings will be in the Pro Shop, in the lobby between the Pro Shop and the Pub, and also at the starter House.  It is not the starter's responsibility to call your name.

This year, as in the past, you may rake-and-place your ball in the bunkers.

You make take relief only from the trees with trunks 2 inches in diameter of less.  (a golf ball is approximately 1.7 inches in diameter.)  You are allowed two (2) club lengths, no closer to the hole -- no penalty.  The natural grass areas on the sides of #7 and #13 play as a hazard.
Staked Tree -- no penalty.  No line of flight relief is allowed from the tree, or stake or any guy wire.  A ball may be dropped one club length from a staked tree with no penalty if the stake interferes with you stance or swing.

On #18:
A.  A tee shot which is determined to have cleared the Highline Canal (ditch) and passed to the right of the large cottonwood tree on the bank of the canal, will be considered to have entered the lateral hazard and may be dropped, no nearer the hole. The penalty is one stroke.
B.  If two tee shots are hit into the hazard, you may drop in a mounded drop area east of the cart path, east of the red tee box and north of the Highline Canal (ditch).  You will be lying 5.

If a ball is lost within the confines of the golf course (e.g., in the trees between holes 3 and 12) a ball will be dropped as close as possible to that point which the foursome playing the hole agrees the ball was lost.  A penalty stroke will be added.  Do not return to the tee box.  If a ball is lost near the perimeter of the golf course (out-of-bounds) make sure to hit a provisional ball.  Returning to the tee box to play another ball should be avoided if at all possible.  The left of the 10th fairway is out of bounds.

In the event of a tie, all medal-play tournaments, with the exception of the Club Championship, shall be determined by a card play-off.  The Club Championship shall be determined by sudden death play-off, starting at #1.

A card playoff will be decided as follows:
low back nine is the first tie breaker, the the low last six, then the low last three.  If there is still a tie, use the low front nine, then the low front last six, and finally, the low front las three.

Any time you are in question of a ruling, you should proceed as follows:
Play the original ball and play a second ball from the same spot, with relief.  Record both scores and continue play.  A the completion of the round, bring the situation to the attention of the Tournament Director, and he will make a ruling on which score will count for the hole.

In the event that you feel a fellow competitor is in violation of any of the Rules of Golf or these local rules, you should bring this to his attention at the time.  Avoid arguments on the course!  A the completion of the round, bring the situation to the attention of the Tournament Director and he will make a ruling.

Your handicaps for tournament will be the lower of either your regular posted scores or your previous Wellshire tournament scores.  Handicaps cannot exceed 36.

In team events, failure to notify the tournament chairman of a board member of your withdrawal in the appropriate amount of time (night before) will disqualify you from further team events.

New members must play in stroke play events in order to qualify for match play.

Match play matches cannot be played during a stroke lay event.

Card matching in match play is not allowed.

The top 10 to 15 money winners will be evaluated after every event and their handicaps will be adjusted as necessary.

Decisions made by the Tournament Director in any of the above situations shall be final.
